GVSU Yields Massive Energy Savings by Installing a MeeFog Humidification System

Grand Valley State University looked to Mee Industries to provide energy savings and flexible design that preserved the appearance and comfort of its new building’s modern aesthetic.

Modern brick university building with large glass entrance, surrounded by green grass and trees under a clear blue sky.

The MeeFog™ system requires a lot less maintenance than a steam based system and it can respond quickly to the requirements of the building.
— James R. Moyer
Associate Vice President of Facilities Planning

MeeFog systems humidify five other buildings on the GVSU campus and have produced significant benefits:

  • 38% less energy than baseline ASHRAE standards
  • Points earned towards LEED Silver certification
  • Less maintenance than steam systems
