MeeFog High-Pressure Fogging: Precision Cooling, Humidification & Dust Control Explained

Full Transcript:
Hi, I’m Thomas Mee, CEO of Mee Industries Inc.
Mee Industries has been designing and manufacturing high-pressure water fogging systems for over 50 years. Our systems are used in a wide range of applications—from special effects at Disneyland to gas turbine power augmentation, humidification, cooling, and dust control across industrial and commercial sectors.
Precision Humidification with MeeFog
Our humidification systems generate a fog of ultra-fine water droplets that evaporate quickly. In air handler applications, where there may not be enough time for all droplets to evaporate, we install droplet eliminators to capture any residual moisture. This ensures only cooled, humidified air is delivered.
Fog produced by MeeFog systems is made up of very small water droplets—essentially microscopic spheres. The large surface-area-to-volume ratio allows for fast and efficient evaporation. This makes our systems ideal for conditioning large volumes of air quickly.
Versatile Applications of MeeFog
MeeFog’s high-precision water atomization has a variety of uses:
-
Special Effects: Creating clouds or mist in landscape environments.
-
Dust Control: Applying a thin fog layer over dust-generating processes to suppress airborne particles.
-
Industrial Humidification: Ideal for textile mills, woodworking factories, printing, and paper production. Natural materials like fabric and wood require proper moisture levels to prevent brittleness and cracking.
-
Commercial Buildings & Laboratories: For human comfort and climate-sensitive environments.
Cooling for Power Plants and Data Centers
Gas turbines in power plants perform better with cooler, denser air. MeeFog systems cool the turbine intake air via evaporation, increasing power output significantly.
We also cool air-cooled heat exchangers, like those used in water-cooled data centers. These massive systems operate like giant radiators. By installing MeeFog nozzles underneath the radiator, we pre-cool the intake air. This improves cooling efficiency by up to 30%, leading to significant energy savings.
High-Volume, Energy-Efficient Atomization
MeeFog systems are ideal for large-scale applications. A textile mill might use 10 to 20 gallons of fog per minute. A gas turbine inlet could use up to 100 gallons per minute. Our systems are scalable, energy-efficient, and environmentally responsible alternatives to traditional cooling and humidification methods.
