National Center for Atmospheric Research
A MeeFog Success Story
When the National Center for Atmospheric Research decided to build a new supercomputing center, it wanted to take advantage of the free cooling available by the high, dry Wyoming environment. The dry air, however, would put nearly $25-$35 million worth of data center equipment at risk of electrostatic damage. The MeeFog installation allowed the NCAR Wyoming Supercomputing Center to safely use outside air to cool their 170,000 square foot facility risk free.
