Nozzle Design & Performance
The uniquely precise MeeFog™ nozzle atomizes water into billions of ultra-fine droplets below 10 microns in size, producing maximum energy, evaporative efficiency and rapid evaporation.

Mee Industries Inc. manufacturers the world's best impaction-pin type fog nozzle. Droplet size is the single most important factor governing fog system performance. Smaller droplets mean faster and more efficient cooling, less wetting of duct surfaces and greatly reduced compressor blade distress. The MeeFog™ nozzle sets the standard for inlet fogging nozzles and has been shown to consistently out perform other nozzles.
Each MeeFog impaction-pin nozzle is made from high-grade stainless steel. Our standard nozzle features a 0.006 inch (150 micrometer) diameter opening which produces billions of ultra fine droplets per second. At an operating pressure of 2000 psi, the resulting average droplet size is far below 10 microns, or one tenth the diameter of a single strand of human hair. The resulting fog cools and evaporates more rapidly (as well as efficiently and economically) than any other fog method.
Our DV90 diameter is less than 20 microns; meaning 90% of the water mass flow is in droplets that are 20 microns or smaller.
Note: Mee can design and manufacture our revolutionary high-grade stainless steel nozzles with reduced orifices to produce even smaller droplets.
- High-grade, precision-machined type 316 stainless steel construction
- Super smooth, low-pressure drop, 98% efficiency
- Cylinder type w/radius end filter for efficient nozzle operation
- Flat stainless steel base for O-ring seal.
The Importance of Droplet Size On Performance
Droplet size itself is a critical factor for the fogging process. The smaller the fog droplet, the more quickly and thoroughly they evaporate leaving no wetting in the process.
