Evaporative coolers have been successfully employed by Facility Mangers to dramatically reduce the cost of cooling data centers by either direct cooling of the air and/or by cooling air conditioning condensers. Mee Industries has recently been selected as the primary technology to directly cool a 30 MW server room. Evaporative cooling uses a small fraction of the energy of mechanical chillers. Along with air-side economizers, Mee Industries for cooling results in large energy savings and also a large reduction in the connected electrical load.
