Humidifier - Energy Savings The biggest advantage of high-pressure cold-water fogging is
running costs. A typical fog system uses one horsepower for
every 500 lbs. of water, which is about five percent of the
energy usage of compressed air-type systems and about one
percent of the energy usage of electric to steam humidifiers.

Looking for the ultimate commercial humidifier?

Dramatically Reduce Energy Cost While Meeting Today's More Stringent Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Requirements

  • Very low energy consumption
  • Easy to service and maintain
  • Low installed cost
  • Ultra-fine fog droplets
  • Ties in to building automated controls (BAC)
High-pressure water is forced through the special atomizing nozzles, which can be installed in air ducts or in air handling units (AHUs). In a typical HVAC application with a central humidifier unit, fog nozzle are installed in locations where the air velocity is less than 750 feet per minute (3.8 meters per second). A mist eliminator collects the un-evaporated droplets a short distance away and the fog nozzle zone drain pain removes the excess water.
