Offices - Relative Humidity

A MeeFog™ Humidification system uses substantially less energy than other humidification technologies including compressed air, ultra-sonic and steam systems.

Offices Use MeeFog Humidification Systems And Building Automated Controls (BAC) To Reduce Low Relative Humidity And Maintain Comfort Or Productivity Levels For Employees In The Office While Directly Offsetting The Cost Of Energy Consumed In Producing The Supplied Humidity By MeeFog
Facility managers are looking for energy efficient, low maintenence humidification for corporate headquarters.
In the winter months, low relative humidity (RH) levels play a large role in ones health. We commonly oversee the association between RH and the discomfort or health problems we experience at work with low relative humidity. A few symptoms such as dry nasal passage, dry or itchy skin, sore throat and respiratory problems can be relieved with the addition of humidification.

Build up of static electricity is an obvious sign of low humidity levels within the office. When humidity levels are optimum, static discharge is greatly reduced.

The MeeFog humidification system is an energy efficient way to humidify within the air handling unit (AHU). Custom design features enable us to tie into existing Building Automated Controls (BAC) and can be easily retrofitted to existing AHUs or specified for new systems.

Savings in running costs and low maintenance routines means that a MeeFog system will typically pay for itself within one year.

MeeFog Humidifier Installation

  • MeeFog High Pressure Humidification System For Seven Air Handlers

Benefits:

  • Reduced Energy Consumption
  • Lower Maintenance Costs
  • $300,000 Savings Per Year
  • ROI < 2 years

Alliant Energy Corporation provides regulated electric and natural gas service to approximately 1 million electric and 420,000 natural gas customers in the states of Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota. Located in the heart of the Midwest in Madison, Wisconsin, Alliant Energy has nearly 5,000 employees and annual operating revenues in excess of $3.3 billion.

The utilities' head quarters building in Madison is conditioned by seven air handlers utilizing electric steam humidifiers for employee comfort and well being, and to reduce static electricity during the winter months. Because of their involvement in energy rebate programs in all of their service areas, the decision was made to upgrade the head quarters humidification systems to a more energy efficient technology. An active sponsor of energy reduction technologies, Alliant Energy would not have benefited from the incentive programs because the projected project payback was less than two years for the installation of the energy efficient MeeFog humidification systems.

The MeeFog™ Rack

The highly reliable, robustly engineered MeeFog™ rack incorporates a system of high-pressure pumps, which pressurize demineralized water. This ultra-clean water flows through a network of stainless steel tubes and then through the revolutionary MeeFog™ nozzles. Each self-contained MeeFog™ rack includes a programmable logic controller (PLC) control system that allows the system to operate safely in automatic mode.

Mee Industries' unique turnkey installations are made possible by our proprietary high-pressure MeeFog™ racks, allowing the completion of installations with as little as 1-2 day outages.
